jonathantennantbtinternet
Bleeding brakes...... what's the best way to bleed brakes with a brake bias valve fitted ?Step by step procedure would be good Thanks And does the cap on the reservoir need to be off . shn7
With the bias valve fully open would be my plan. Then proceed as normal, longest pipe run to shortest.

Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 25, 2020 Member Share Posted January 25, 2020 Could you add a photo of your valve?Jonathan
jonathantennantbtinternet
Presume it's this as AP only do three.
MADMALC
I never had any issues just leaving it. When you open a bleed valve the fluid will come out OK. May be we are over thinking this one?
jonathantennantbtinternet
Well that;s the issue, no fluid comes out
shn7
Not seeing a photo in post #5. Is it marked front/rear? Rear would send more fluid/pressure rearward hence be fully open.
MADMALC
Is that no fluid from any bleed valves or just none from both/one rear ?If you push the brake pedal with the car in the air do all the wheels lock?Could be the bleed screw not undone enough or blocked. bjw
Post #5 contains a pdf which won't be visible to many/most readers: https://apracing.com/cdn/drawings/886-cp3550-13cd.pdf- which is a drawing of this:-Stated on the AP website to be for "strictly for competition use only". (Why not suitable for road use?...Who'll be upset? MoT tester - unlikely, insurers?)...Cheers
Area Representative Richard Price Posted January 25, 2020 Area Representative Share Posted January 25, 2020 The graph in the diagram is interesting in that it shows that, whilst this valve has 7 positions, only the first three will have any use to limit rear braking.I have a brake pressure transducer and log brake pressure when competing, and rarely see 30 bar of brake pressure. MADMALC
Is this sorted now? If so what was the issue? Ta.
