Will message you
We have a pair of SENA tuff talks and they are very good, good as headphones and usefull for turn by turn guidance from your iphone when you get lost!
ta David, do you know where you got them from...
Another for the Sena TuffTalk. Have them and a Sena SR10 for the PMR. Can listen to music, follow satnav (best from phone - myRoute App), take phone calls, use as intercom with passenger and talk to other cars via PMR all with bluetooth and no cables connected to the headset - much easier to live with than headsets with cables plugged in!?
Has anyone come across an App for the smartphone which works like a PMR but uses the mobile network? I am sure I read something about this last year but cannot remember where! Be interested to explore that more.

Sena RideConnected App (scroll down the page).
It uses the data network though so be aware of charges particularly if used abroad.

Thanks Stu - will look into it at some point!
The other one to look at is Zello which I was very kindly reminded of...!
I noticed from another thread that you also made a DIY headset with Bluetooth intercom. How does the TuffTalk compare with that? I can see two problems with the TuffTalk:
1. I can't find anywhere to buy them in the UK! The UK Sena website don't list them, Amazon is out of stock. Where did you get yours?
2. PTT is on the side of the head, right? How does that work in practice while driving, having to take your hand off the wheel?
More generally, I'd like to hear from someone with experience of using a boom mic in a Seven with an aeroscreen. Do they work at full-on blatting speed?
I have a DIY TuffTalk, it's ok and does the job. The biggest problem is it's bulky and the boom mic likes to fall off ( a lot ), hence in the end I purchased a proper TuffTalk, and yes supply is a major problem.
As for the PTT, I am lucky or unlucky enough to have a few Sena product including the SR10, which means my PTT button can be almost anywhere I want it. I tend to on mine on handbrake. I have not used the TuffTalk built in PTT button.
If I remember I will post a picture of the setup on Tuesday, I am using the setup while driving to an IVA so I will have other things on my mind.

That would be great, Chris, thanks. Best of luck for the IVA.
