OldAndrewE
Can someone with the circuit breakers as fitted to S3 1981 to 1987 let me know/confirm what the ratings for each of the 4 circuits are (2 identical breakers). I need to replace mine with conventional fuses and the labels with the ratings are almost illegible.1-2 Cannot read3-4 looks like 15 or 18 Amps5-6 7 Amps7-8 Looks like 13.5 Amps

John Vine
I understand. I didn't even know such things existed on a 7, so I was just curious thinking that maybe there was a secret floating about in cyberspace!JV

Area Representative Geoff Brown Posted October 2, 2020 Area Representative Share Posted October 2, 2020 Circuit breakers in a Seven?! Must be a retro fit as normally just standard car fuses fitted - glass type or modern two prong?
OldAndrewE
Geoff, these are a Caterham original fitting. They are shown in the Tony Weale book as part of the standard loom from 1981 to1987. Wiring diagram from Caterham assembly guide supplied in 1985 below
Area Representative Geoff Brown Posted October 2, 2020 Area Representative Share Posted October 2, 2020 Ah - Bit before my time. Started building & owning sevens in 1994 & was not aware of this 'modernity'.
