Hanns Per
I am looking for help to get a BTB CSR exhaust right. Is anyone with a CSR near BTB Exhaust (3-5 The Beaver Centre, Woodford Halse, Daventry NN11 3DP) and could pass by with his car at BTB and enable BTB to get the exhaust right which I bought and which did not fit. Could be anytime until March. thks in advance Hanns Per

Hanns Per
I sent photos to Joe when I mounted the exhaust and it didn't fit and sent the exhaust back for rework. Joe needs a CSR for this. When it comes to the worst I have to go there. But maybe someone nearby could drop by?

7 wonders of the world
would it no be cheaper and quicker to get the exhaust sent back to you, fit it and take photos videos and dimensions then get BTB to transfer and compare to their jig amend based on this.... Hanns Per
I made photos and sent it back but BTB thought they would need a car to get it right. this is the problem. Since I like to drive I proposed to go there if no other CSR shows up.

Hanns Per
Hello Roger, this sounds great thank you very much for Your proposal. Lets wait if BTB gets a CSR customer in the meantime. If not I will come back to You in march if this is OK for You. Again thank You Hanns Per
Hanns Per
Was planning to drive myself to BTB these days. BUT it does not look like possible in the near future without 14days of quarantine. So I am again out there asking for help if someone of You with a CSR who is close to BTB Exhausts Ltd. Unit 3-5 The Beaver Centre, Woodford Halse, Daventry, Northants, NN11 3DP, could let BTB his CSR to correct the silencer which they have made for me. thks in advance Hanns Per
Leadership Team Shortshift Posted July 1, 2020 Leadership Team Share Posted July 1, 2020 Hanns PerI can easily get to Daventry with my CSR, but it doesn't have a standard exhaust - it has a Raceco and a cat bypass pipe fitted. Will that be OK for the measurements that are needed or is a more standard installation required?JamesEdited to say: ahhh - you have the same issue that I had with my Raceco, needing to get the angle of the entry pipe (the cat bypass) and its offset from centreline of the silencer right. When it's right the silencer sits parallel to the wide part of the car body side (see my extra photos). If your cat bypass pipe is the same as mine, then my car should be a good template for your silencer. Let me know.
Hanns Per
Hello James thank You very much, like You I am using right now Raceco silencer and original Caterham race primaries. In between have both the Caterham CAT and a custom made 4-2-1 part. I worked with BTB in spring and we defined all the detailed measurements they asked but they would feel better if they could have a CSR on site. I wait for the feedback from Joe Ellis/BTB for how long he would need to have a CSR on site for the correction and wait for his feedback. As soon as I know I am happy to get back to You.Thks in Advance Hanns Per what a beautiful car You have (mine was also blue like Yours but now is british racing green 180.000 km
Leadership Team Shortshift Posted July 2, 2020 Leadership Team Share Posted July 2, 2020 Hello Hanns Per - I'll watch out for your reply. I don't want to leave the car at BTB but I would expect they could take the measurements they need in just a few minutes. That's all it took me when I needed my Raceco endcap adjusting to make everything line up.Thanks for the comments about the car; it was nothing like this when I bought it last year!James
