coffeekid
Simple question guys...I have just bought a CTEK MXS 5.0 to keep the battery charged during times of infrequent use of the car.Going to permanently connect the eyelets so I just need to plug in charger each time.Do I need to attach the negative eyelet to somewhere on the chassis or to the negative pole on the battery? Thanks
Member Jonathan Kay Posted October 16, 2018 Member Share Posted October 16, 2018 Have you thought of fitting an accessory socket under the dash? That would let you use the charger without removing the bonnet as well as powering 'phones, satnavs etc.Do I need to attach the negative eyelet to somewhere on the chassis or to the negative pole on the battery? Is it this type?Jonathan

ChrisC
If you have a 12v built into a fuse cover under the dash (as per later Caterham models) its permanently live, so you can plug a Ctex directly into that socket, no additional cable required. I assume your car has a 12v socket (based on your profile picture) I use a CTEK 56-
