I'm planning to convert from flared wings to cycle wings for trackday use to reduce high speed lift and been searching for 15/16" cycle wing stays. Caterham seem to be out of stock, nothing unusual about that, but have 13/14" ones.
When I look at overall wheel diameter for my 205/45R16 Yokohamas (on HPC wheels) and compare to 185/60R14's on the new Caterham models or 185/70R13 Academy tyres mine are only 1/2" larger diameter max so 1/4" in radius. I don't know how close a fit there is between the stay and tread surface normally but is it possible to squeeze a bigger wheel in?
Any room for adjustment or some gentle persuasion? Thoughts, ideas, offers welcome.
