Before I make a start, what’s the best way to remove the BMW diff on a seven?
Same as sierra diff and then remove from cage.

Have you seen John Vine's notes on the corrected positions of the locking washers?
Having never removed a sierra diff I'm still non the wiser
does the de-dion tube / suspension etc need removing?
Have you got an Assembly Guide? Please let me know if you'd like a copy.
No, I've never built a 7 and no guide came with the car.
Please send me a Private Message with your email address and details of the Seven: year. model, engine.
Drive shafts and A Frame out first. Best to remove diff and carrier together. Leave the long top bolt in until last and support the diff throughout the process from underneath. You’ll need a long drift bar to ease the top bolt out. Best suggestion is to get Jonathan to supply you with the relevant build manual. This will also help for centering the diff and reassembly. Do an archive search on this site as there have been previous postings on the same topic.
Just a quick question
So I’ve just put the car up on axle stands and looking to remove the diff. Once I’ve removed the brake caliper, is it easier to remove the four bolts holding the de-dion ears to the tube and remove the whole hub assembly with the drive shafts as one unit.
I've sent a couple of emails with no reply... please could you check if they're getting through.
They’d gone into spam. I’ve just replied
