Dry sump scavenge pump hose.

Any suggestions for a supplier of 1"/25mm nominal bore suction hose for my dry sump scavenge pump.

The rubber hose I'm removing looks like it has suffered from the oil heat as it is cracked IWO the spiral reinforcing wire.

Think Automotive have supplied me with various pipes, adaptors and even modified a CC supplied braided hose for my DS that was too long. Club discount too

Same problem with an old & cracked scavenge hose.

I've just got a length of 1" Suction & Delivery hose (100S4-16) from Pirtek.  About £10 vs CC's £39.

Does anyone anyone know how easy this is to change?  Looks straightforward, but things rarely are as simple as they seem!

I've got the standard K dry sump kit, no external oil tank, (so using bell-housing tank) so does that mean all the oil will drain when I disconnect the hose, or will it remain in the bell-housing?

Also, was thinking of getting things warmed up beforehand, to make the old hose more malleable to get off, or is that a bad idea?

If it’s the top hose from the scavenge pump to the top of the bellhousing, you’ll probably be ok rpswoloing tinwithout draining the oil. Leave it for a few days to drain back to the low points in the system. If it’s the bottom hose, you’re best doing that next time you change the oil, otherwise it will be very messy!
