Duratec: Do I need a special tool to release the fuel-line connector from the rail?

I'm about to lift my R400D engine.  I'm guessing that I might need a special tool to release the connector attaching the fuel line to the rail.  Is there a special Ford part for this, or is there another way?

you can realese it with a pair of fine long nose pliers,

Whilst you have this hose off John take a close look at the hose when you bend it, mine was new 3 years ago at rebuild and mine is very heavily cracked already, I will try to post some photos.... 

You can cut the crimps off and just replace the hose

Just a finger on my 2019 supplied kit.  Press and release (assuming you have released the pressure first)

The nylon quick connect lines are tool free release.

Re #3 and #4: Mine's 2008.  Does that make a difference? Would mine be a "nylon quick connect"?

The fuel line on Duratecs is nylon hose with a quick connect fitting at each end. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/hoses/1176-fuel-pipe-pump-to-rail.html?search_query=fuel+line&results=159 If you zoom in you can see the fittings that connect to the rail and pump. Think newer ones may have a male fitting at the pump end.

An update...

It proved to be simplicity personified as it was indeed a "quick connect".  No tools required.

All I had to do was to press down on this little tab with a thumbnail and slide the connector off the rail:

This is what the inside of the connector looks like:

 

As you press on the tab, the clip (the black crescent arrowed) moves to one side and frees the connector.

Very neat!

Re #2: The hose was in good nick -- no cracks.
