elie boone
Does anybody knows how much lift the R 400 cams have ? i need to upgrade a std 2.0 Duratec to R 400 spec and i have been looking at Piper cams but it's not stated if the pistons need pockets. Molecular--Bob
I think the original R 400 cams were from Kent to a Raceline spec (KCRLD210), so might be worth looking at their specs. I think they were done with upgraded single springs, pocketed stock pistons and ARP rod bolts, I think Raceline still have an equivalent cam spec available. elie boone
The RLD210 Raceline cam doesn't need pockets, just upgraded valve springs.
Molecular--Bob
Just been through the pain of searching the site and Mic (who should know) says no pocket for r400, so not sure where I picked up the wrong info.
David_Long
The R400 cams will run with a standard engine, the pistons are flat and the lift (IIRC) 10.5 mm.
elie boone
Thanks for the info, think i will go for the Raceline package, camshaft & omex ECU.
Rob Walker
The RLD210 cams work very well with the standard engine just change the valve springs
