Is it the 'narrow' version and is this 48.5 inches?Can anyone with one on their car measure it - I'm assuming it's the width from flange to flange on which the brake back plate is mounted? OldAndrewE Posted December 15, 2020 Share Posted December 15, 2020 Gordon, the English axle on my S3 is 48.5" outside of flange to outside of flange (it is currently stripped down as part of my refurb). No idea if this is 'narrow' or otherwise. I think mine is Mk1 Escort and it is one I supplied to Caterham for modification. OldAndrewE Posted December 15, 2020 Share Posted December 15, 2020 Gordon, I would need to get my rebuild progressed a bit further to be 100% sure. The wheels I have at the moment are 14 x 6.5 with the inside rim 108 mm from the mounting face (apologies for the mixed units!). They originally had 205 section tyres but that size is of limited availability in suitable tyres so I will probably change to 185.
