I second the use of small cable ties and a couple of small holes each side of the holes where the grill pokes through. Position the holes so that there is tension on the grill tang. A much better solution than the original fittings.

I did the same as SM25T & others, drill two 2.5mm holes and use a  2.5mm cable tie either side.

On my last 7 it was zippies, I found the natural colour ones so they didn't show
