Head light effectiveness

I know that the effectiveness of Seven head lights is a regular conversation piece with all sorts of upgrade suggestions.

After a weekend at the Silverstone Classic & being utterly drowned both evenings while returning home the next day I observed water (without the gold fish) lying at the bottom of one head light lens.

So I removed the unit & proceeded to mop out the water with a flexi bottle brush firmly wrapped with blue roll. The water was removed & the inside of the lens came up sparkling which in comparison to the other lens was a vast improvement.

So I carried out the same procedure with the other head light. It is extraordinary how much grime find its way on to the inside of the glass irrespective of the rubber bulb shrouds.

Testing of the lights against the garage door revealed that the illumination had increased by at least 25% !!

So it pays to clean the inside of the lens once in a while to remove the accumulated grime.
