Identify my alternator for a spare part

Hi, I want to locate a part for my alternator (rectifier), anyone know what the Caterham alternator is, as in make and model. Link here: https://caterhamparts.co.uk/alternators/4751-alternator-rhd-duratec-1-o-clock.html dont seem to be any identifying marks for manafacturer and model?

ok, found it: 

Edge lightweight alternator 40A LH mounting CM550L

The product code is specified by looking from the front of the engine so for the vast majority of Duratec cars the code would be CM500RH.

Thanks Geof, the alternator has no code on it at all. I only found the code through other re-sellers.

I'm not great on alternator specifications and associated wiring having fortunately never had an alternator fail, it's component I've not had reason learn about! But ... is there a disadvantage in saving some weight and fitting a lightweight compact unit such as this one?

It would appear on the face of it a fairly easy way to save some weight!

As an update to part numbers there is an Edge 40A CM551R. This was revealed by one of my area members after removing a U/S alternator from his 2014 R300 yesterday.

Seems the rectifier packs are a common problem?
