John Cousins
Based on the gasket picture do I need to drill any additional holes when discarding the foam baffle?
SM25T
Looks like you have three already on the big shelf to drain oil.
John Cousins
Thanks - I sourced this from Chris at Redline. When I compared to previous posts that was my thought...
John Vine
This is DVA's original photo:So, you have three holes (but further spaced) rather than two.JV
john milner
I would imagine that the three big hole idea is to maximise the drain rate but the two little hole idea targets the pick-up with a small oil supply. I made three small holes targeting the pick-up area.I don't know what is best but anything not too large must be better than nothing because with no holes and a sump gasket that is never removed the oil that is retained could over the years become badly contaminated.
