OBD port

Is yours EU2 or EU3? If the latter then it should work with any generic OBD reader. EU2 engines need Rover specific software though unfortunately (although I haven't tried to connect to one to confirm). I use a generic ELM327 reader on my EU3 k-series.

I would recommend the Android app Torque and a Bluetooth adaptor if you have an Android phone. It's excellent.

Edit: for some reason I assumed we were talking about K engined cars here. Need to know the engine/ECU type really to give a definitive answer.

It's a 2002 R300 Superlight with a K-series 1.8 160 bhp.

However, the car was originally Caterham's own car and it looks like it's got an engine from possibly 2005 'ish in it as there is no distributor driven off the cam.

I can't find a cheap ish bluetooth reader that will work with a non jailbroke iPhone
That's a lot of constraints in one short sentence!

:-)

Have you looked at DashCommand and the GoPoint BT1 and the WiFi alternatives?

This stuff doesn't interest me for my 7, but I have a very similar problem on a clinical research project which needs to record temperature, breathing, heart rate etc. Can't do remapping yet...

Did you ever get a satisfactory answer to your question?  I have the same P/N, Software ECU and would like to see if I can do some testing that everything is good before paying for more specialized advice.   Car starts and runs well at top end but is an absolute pain to drive in town traffic owing to tendency to "kangaroo"
