orangepeel61
Anyone have any experience of the Odyssey PC535? Does it have enough oomph to run a crossflow?(Supersprint)The PC680 appears to be a more popular choice but the PC535 has a similar spec and unlike the PC680 is the right size to fit in the existing battery tray (under the carbs)I'm looking to replace the Banner with something that will last a bit longer! If anyone is interested, Euro Car Parts have a sale on at the moment:PC535 is £94.49PC680 is £86.
Molecular--Bob
I used a 680 on mine, I did change my under carb tray to allow it to fit, my reasoning being that should it be required it is possible to get the pc680 battery out from under the car by dropping it between the frame rails, so no need to take most of the car apart to change a battery.I think the key to a long life for these is to have them on an FIA key so that there is no power drain. If you run them flat they don't recover
StevehS3
It always seemed a shame to have to change the original battery tray to fit a better battery than the Banner. Looking at the spec of the PC535 I might give that a go when my Banner needs replacing. I think it is the cranking current that matters the most and mine is only a standard 1600K. Sooty
I use a PC545 on an ally tray mounted low by the starter motor. First battery lasted 10 years , current one still going strong after 8 years
