DougBaker
On a 2003 SV is the nosecone grill/logo held in simply by the two clips using just friction? The ones on my car won't move with my finger strength alone, they are a little rusty. So before I get the pliers out and break something I thought I would check if there is some clever way of removing them. This tiny bit of upgraditus was prompted by the front cover of Low Flying which has a few cars with dayglow seven logos. Should look a little better than the current slightly rusty grey.
Area Representative paul richards Posted February 24, 2017 Area Representative Share Posted February 24, 2017 The clips have little barbs on them. You'll probably have to prise them off with a screwdriver. They probably won't be reusable. I find it better to secure by drilling a couple of small holes either side of the slots and using a small cable tie to secure. Drill the holes so that the cable tie puts a little tension on the grill tang. IYSWIM

Leadership Team Toughie Posted February 26, 2017 Leadership Team Share Posted February 26, 2017 Prompted by the same phot, I've just removed and painted mine. I also have an SV and found the same clips. I just sprung them free by putting the screwdriver under the clip and giving a little twist.
