Replacement Brake Pads

For fast road and track use the Mintex 1144 is often the preferred pad, you'll need to bed them in correctly though. For mostly road use with more occasional track work the "standard" pad (which I believe is a Mintex 1142) is actually very good.

It's worth noting that there's no servo in the Caterham system so don't confuse the need to push harder with the need to run different pads!

Stu.

It does depend upon what's on the back although IME it's better to match the back to the front not the other way round.

In the past I've had standard pads for the AP big brakes from Caterham and they've been Mintex 1142, I think it's probably varied over the years.

With the uprated AP brakes at the front you don't want anything grippier on the front than what the come with from Caterham as this will offset the bias to the front even more than the setup does already. I have moved the offset backwards by fitting more aggressive rears than the "blue dot" rears Caterham supply. I must stress that this is not road legal, but it made the car behave like I wanted it to.
