justcallmemac
Hi,I want to mount some wing mirrors, (link + pic below), on to the windscreen stanchions but I don't want to drill in to the stanchion to secure. (Want to be able to remove the mirrors quickly and easily when I do use the half doors)I'm therefore looking for a neat little clamping bracket, which I can attach the mirrors to and then tighten on the stanchion. Before I look at fabricating something, is anything available 'off the shelf' so to speak? Many thanks,Stevehttp://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/large-carbon-fibre-effect-side-mirrors

Ian B
Yes there are/were several solutions that clamp on to the stanchions. The first was a set of brackets with mirrors that were made by Seven Accessories in Manchester (no longer around AFAIK), and could be used with or without the Wind Deflectors:The second was a set designed by Nifty and friends, that was a similar concept, but used a billet ali bracket and you added your own Spa mirrors:There may be others but those are the main ones.Very occasionally a pair of either comes up for sale (in fact I have both and will be selling mine on, but not yet as I need to develop an alternative solution that suits my needs better ). 7 wonders of the world
The IVA mounts and stock mirrors work well and are vibration free at speed, though as with the others sugestions above block the full doors form opening much beyond the 90 degree mark.
