MereCat
Hi all,I seem to remember someone posting the colour for the anthracitre wheels somewhere on here a few years ago...my search ability seems to be lacking so wondered if anyone knows? There was a thread referring to that company in Birmingham (I am asuming not the original suppliers KN) but another.I want to get my springs in this colour before I fit the new suspension.Any help appreciated as always. Many thanksPaul
SM25T
I recall maybe a Polaris Grey .... and something else. But none were a perfect match from memory.
SM25T
Found an old thread .....Rover Gunmetal, Ford Polaris Grey or Renault Xerus Grey. - See more at: http://www.lotus7.club/forum/anthracite-wheels-colour-code#sthash.XAszihmt.dpuf ..... apparently the Rover was the best match. MereCat
Thanks. This would assume Rover Gunmetal as a paint though would it not? I have never known a powder colour mentioned like this. Normally RAL, BS, Pantone.Paint Colour code for this would appear to beMMN GUNMETAL 1986-1991 BLVC 684Do we have a better way of searcing? Its in here somewhere...sadly one of the downsides to the new site, lots of plus but not this.If anyone is reading from the original thread or Mr Fletcher is still on here (seem to remember he might have this) then would be good to hear from them. Someone got their wheels refurbed, so someone will pop up hopefully.
SM25T
Yes ... all are paint. You can't touch up with powder coat.
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted June 12, 2015 Area Representative Share Posted June 12, 2015 Place in Birmingham is City Powdercoaters. They charge £20 a loose wheel. If you need a tyre taken off or put back on, its £5 each way. They took a couple of days to coat my wheels and did a great job. CheersNick
Wrightpayne
Just had the van wheels done at City Wheel Refurbishment as they are now called, in Digbeth central Birmingham. £25 each for steels and still £20 for bare (tyre, weight & valveless) alloys <=18". Tyre removal / refitting now a tenner. Colour is dark gunmetal, which can look a bit blueish is certain lights.Very pleased with them!https://www.citywheelrefurbishment.co.uk/
