Track day tow strap

Hi. Visiting Brands Hatch next month and need a front tow strap. Looking at the Caterham site they sell a strap for £25.00 but cannot see how it fits? Also seems a lot of money for a short piece of webbing ! Any advice?

The tow truck will have a strap so you don’t need to supply one.

Track instructions say all cars must have a high visibility strap on the front ?

Have you got a link to those instructions, please?

Usual briefing is to make sure that eyes etc are fitted.

It has a fixed eye at the front, usually on the RHS.

Having reread the instruction it says must have a tow hook with a high vis streamer attached to it. So not for towing but for finding the hook.  My car is some distance away at the moment , does the front chassis have a tow hook?

And if it's a road car with a number plate, depending upon the nose cone you have and the size of your number plate if it's towed using the towing eye you'll likely do some damage. I chose to have the tow strap looped round a front wishbone last time (the only time!) mine had to be towed off track.

It can also be towed from the roll over bar ....
