Trunnionless uprights

Sooty

Recommended Posts

Has anybody fitted replacement uprights - I've been looking at the kits supplied by Canley Classics together with the replacement hubs. My 7 is now 30 years old and despite regular lubrication I am fearful of trunnion collapse given wider wheels and sticky tyres.

Id appreciate feedback on the uprights and hubs

YHM, the taper at the top of the later uprights are different , so if you have the original cast top wishbones, these need to be replaced too, this has knock on effects to front arb too... If you intend to use the later uprated hubs then you'll also need new stub axles. Post a pic of your existing set up.

  • 2 weeks later...

I did with Caterham and James Whiting after a trunnion failure at Paul Ricard Circuit .

Big front anti roll bar, Leda Spring and Dampers

More safer

I think you could order them to Caterham if not see with James  and Bruce at Arch Motors
