waterless coolant

I did last year ! And found a rise in temperature on tic over in traffic . That was in a Duratec  I then changed to a lower thermostat and went back to water / antifreeze mix , only used the non water for a short time and I'm convinced the hoses have gone soft . So I'm keeping an eye on them.

What type of hoses do you have?

I have just installed Evans Waterless coolant in my year 2000 Mk2 Mondeo (a V6 Duratec), running a tiny bit hotter according to the temp guage, but otherwise ok so far, a few days in.

"fitting" it was a different story. I have ordered a test device to check the percentage "water" that remains in the system.

Plan is this is a test before fitting to my year 2000 K series Seven, number one attraction being to avoid risk of hot spots in the engine.

Now going to read this thread.
