What seats are these on a 7 on BAT

Yes these are what as referred to, I think, as the original S Type seats.  I have them too.  Great seats as the three lower pads on the back of the seat are adjustable so you can move them to suit your lumbar preference. They were an upgrade option in the early nineties before Caterham moved to the more commonly known S Type seats that are still fitted today.

I'd be amazed if you could buy them new today but maybe put a wanted ad on the forum - perhaps someone has switched to tillets and have these surplus to needs??

Cheers

David

Holy moly! That car sold for $29k!!!

Anyone wanting to start up in business with me...

My car works out to be $16k, $1k to get to the shipper in Southampton, $3k for tax and title and Atlantic crossing, then another $1k to ship from Baltimore to MN. (I’m hoping to drive mine).

Only joking about the business (sort of) but I did think if I bought a rhd 7 I would have to own it until the end of time (or have to give it away)!

Great price, very nice spec. That's top money for an early ish 7 but remember its getting very difficult in the US to register cars like the 7 and the best bit its an easy car to look after. every part is available.

Here is Aus Classic Caterham's have been slowly going up in price. I bought a very tired, dead engine (LOTUS Twin Cam)  85 4 speed, Live axle car 2 years ago for 13,200 UKP,  and spent double what I bought it for sorting it and I will get most of it back. that's if I ever sell it.

We also get cars from Japan with the BDR's in them and they fetch good money.

New 7 here are prohibitive a RHD (euro 5 spec) 270 is 45,000 UKP as for top spec 485, 66,000 UKP it has, wait for it, a luxury car tax as part of the price
