Hello Club,

As new member and happy new owner of my first (old) 7, I had to change the battery and was looking extensively on the forum to find what was recommended / best.

Finally, I took the same as previously mounted, in order to avoid any issue with mounting, cables positioning, ...

So just to share here the data in case it can help any other member.

Car: Seven S3 1989, 1.7 Xflow, 4 speed live axle

Battery location: below carburetors, original position

Battery brand: Motobatt

Advantage: it has 2 positive and 2 negative points, which may help adaptation of different configuration.

Motobatt are very popular amongst bikers because of the versatility of the twin connection points making fitment much easy.

Cedric, thanks for the info. Did it fit in the original battery cradle or need modification? Also, was your original battery a Banner?

Datasheet here: https://www.motobatt.us/documents/Motobatt%20spec-MBTX20UHD.pdf

Available from Tayna at £63.75 inc vat.
