X-flow rad Replacment

Hi Guys

Going to replace my re-conditioned rad

on my 1700 x-flow, should I go for the aluminium one on the caterham site (direct replacment) or is there a better alternative.

I ask the question as I know there a cross over between K Series cars an XF-Flows for example I have had to buy Heater Hose Kit for a K series to fit my system for the X-Flow (Due to the position of the inlet and outlet) of the heater I have.

So would a Radtec for K Series fit?

Ralph's very loud x-flow

I looked at my old CovRad triple pass radiator on my just rebuilt car these evening and thought how tatty it looks. It’s 25 years old, and  there are areas where the fins have been crushed. I tempted by an upgrade while we’re all stuck off the road for the foreseeable. Given my use, I don’t think I need the cooling capacity of a triple pass (its an ex race car, now all road use bar a very occasional track day). So I think I’m looking for a more road, standard solution for a 1.8 k series with 150bhp - nothing too high spec.

So what the current good options for price and performance? I’ve heard tale about over the years of Radtec cracking on Caterham and having to be returned or exchanged. Have their been any recent reports?

What about CC options? Any good?

Thanks.
