X/Flow and E10

With E10 about to be thrust upon us what is the best way forward for us X/Flow owners?

Shell V power - purported to have no manufactured fuel added.

Never heard of E10 before, but fron what i have just read on the web it is a replacement for unleaded, i.e. 91 Octane.

My car, a 1997 1600 X-flow runs better on Super Unleaded, i.e. 95 to 98 Octane

So, the questuon is, is Super being replaced?

I am concerned as my car farts and fluffs a bit on 91 Octane.

As far as I know it's replacing normal unleaded, 95ron, but super unleaded, vpower, momentum etc are staying the same. I was always recommended super unleaded with the xflow without hardened seats anyway so no change. It's just you now won't get a choice, just have to always use super unleaded. Still not sure yet about the k series in my MG though, what are you k series owners going to do?

Going forward I'm going to use the Esso Premium fuel as a first choice (ethanol free) and any other premium fuel where that isn't available in my standard K. There's no extra power to be had but the premium fuel is probably worth the extra £ because of the improved additives.

Will I still need to add a lead replacement additive (Std head on my 1600 X/Flow)
