Peter Mears
I’ve run my silver top narrow track on Leda suspension for near 20 years. With 300lb front and 185 lb rears. This was set up for track work but has always been very harsh on the road and a bit skittish. What do others run for a comfortable road car. I’ve tried some standard progressive springs on the rear that were much better but these were too low as not right for the car and non adjustable. I also have the type which have the spike up through the roll bar like live axle although de Dion axle. Thanks
Comp Sec
On a Zetec Live axle I run 225 lb front and 130lb rears. used for road and just the odd sprint & hillclib :-)

Drumster
Blacktop Zetec in ‘93 de Dion and with Quantums. I too have 225lbs on the fronts but 140lbs on the rears. The car is used for sprinting, hill climbing and touring. The advantage of the Quantums is that the dampers can be adjusted to suit the type of driving. Peter Mears
The springs on the Quantum Chris, are they progressive front and rear or not at all?
Drumster
Hi Peter,The springs are linear as both front and rear have the double digressive piston set up as recommended by Simon at Meteor
