John Vine Posted October 31, 2018 Share Posted October 31, 2018 Over the last week or so, I've been getting multiple email notifications for responses to threads that I've contributed to. These emails repeat themselves, and generally relate to posts I've made some weeks ago.Is this an L7C site bug or could my webmail service be sending out repeats for some reason? For my pains, I use BT Yahoo webmail. PS: Why are "bugs" included as part of the "Test and Ideas" forum? I have "succeeded" in doing this when using BC on a mobile phone. To switch it off is a two stage process as you have to edit the post which gained a "notify me" option, then also edit your profile to switch off notifications.This may or may not be directly related to your particular experiences. Every couple of days it sends me an identical notification for the same comment in the the same post. Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but the post was edited by BBL - that was the point at which I started to get the notifications.Shaun doesn't elaborate as to whether the security patches relate to the OS, Drupal or the mail server. One of the problems with a big CMS application is that it is very difficult to fully test a site when there are so many modules and ways of configuring the system.
