Support Team andy_harries Posted July 7, 2020 Support Team Share Posted July 7, 2020 Hi allWanted to check that this meets the club rules for trackdays - this is me sitting in the car with my harness (6 point) fully fastened and my helmet on - there is around 5-10mm of clearance between the line between the top of the rear horizontal member of the cage, the top of the front horizontal member of the roll cage (just by the windscreen) and the highest part of my helmet. I know its not the 50mm recommended, but I don't want to come along and find its not compliant!
Leadership Team Shortshift Posted July 7, 2020 Leadership Team Share Posted July 7, 2020 Hi AndyResponding on behalf of Simon M but, if you look at the Club's trackday safety document, the TSRR, it says the following in relation to cages:So having 5-10mm clearance complies fully with the requirement to have a "positive helmet clearance". You'll be fine, and we look forward to seeing you on track!JamesL7C Trackday Support
