njhendo
I've previously had trackday cover included with my road insurance, but am conscious that a crunch will count as an accident for my normal road insurance on my daily car. What trackday only insurance do people use- I'd rather avoid having to organise insurance for each trackday and was hoping to arrange cover for 5/6 days as a package? Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 8, 2020 Member Share Posted January 8, 2020 That's exactly how I do it, largely so that I can add family and friends. Most recently with MORIS, details in the Seven Insurance thread. Recommended.Jonathan
njhendo
Thanks. How have you found Moris- have you had to claim from them?
Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 8, 2020 Member Share Posted January 8, 2020 Easy to deal with, but haven't claimed, which is why they can only be Recommended.I negotiated a single deal for the total number of days, then the week before each event told them the details of the drivers. And I choose to have a very high excess: basically the cover is for stuff I couldn't fix myself. JonathanPS: For others... if you're the only driver there are cheaper options with combined road and track policies, as described in the Seven Insurance thread. CarlieHowden
Standalone track day insurance is down to the individual insurer - that being said you should always declare an accident regardless of where it happened, who was at fault etc anyway just to cover your own back as you don't want insurers to say you withheld information. Track claims are unlikely to effect road cover premiums as it's a different driving format from driving on a public road hope this helps!p.s. we do individual track day cover as well as bundle bolt-ons to your insurance Happy Monday!Carlie
