    Buffs

    By Guest, in Merchandise,

The Club Buffs will be in stock on Tuesday or Wednesday this week http://www.lotus7.club/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png http://www.lotus7.club/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png Sorry for the delay, the Spanish factory had a 6 week shutdown over the summer.

For those that don't know what a Buff is, it's a stretchy tube that can be worn as a neck scarf and all variety of headgear... There's a great video on their website in Quicktime and RealPlayer formats http://www.lotus7.club/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png

We got them to make 2 custom designs for the Club:

    MONO

    COLOUR

Buff sell their other designs on their website at £10.99 plus £2.50 P&P. The club Buffs are a bargain £9.50 plus P&P.

If ordering with other Regalia items normal P&P prices will apply, however if ordering just Buffs the postage will be cheaper as they are quite light: 94p for 1, £1.20 for 2, then an extra 40p for each additional one.

The updated Regalia order form can be downloaded HERE

There will be 100 of each colour in the first batch. Please note that expressions of interest on the previous threads don't count as orders as we don't have addresses or payment, so you'll need to order via Dowlis the usual Regalia way http://www.lotus7.club/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png

    Nuke the Leuk '06 - Lap 7

    By Guest, in Club Charities,

“Just completed the bicycle trip. As planned I arrived home last Friday after cycling a total of 4300 km ( yes, I know, some 1100 km more than planned at first but who cares). With plenty of sunshine most of the days (with the occasional shower), but managed to do the whole trip without wearing a jacket which is quite unique. What more can one ask for, and with temperatures sometimes over 35 degrees it got a bit hot on some days.
Plenty of water up to 4 litres a day to keep the machine in motion,
All goals have been reached: via Germany (Remagen, Bingen, Heidelberg, Tübingen, to Friedichshafen), then in Austria via the Silvretta Alpenstrasse to Italy via the Reschenpas, Trento, Verona, Ferrara to Venice, and two days later back via Bassano, Trento, Reschenpass (and not the Brenner I had as option), Arlberg and then via Liechenstein to Switzerland via the Oberalp pas and the Furka passing Martigny to Genève and back to Lausanne via Neufchatel and Bieler See to Brugg (family visit), and then Basel to France, Selestat (Col du Donon) in the direction of Metz, Vianden (Our valley) to Eupen, via Plateau of Margraten to Maastricht along the Meuze river to Venlo, Nijmegen and then via the Betuwe to Utrecht.

Number of countries :  8 (Germany, Austria, Italy, Liechenstein, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium) Punctures :  NONE Dirt roads : 250 km Total distance :  4300 km Shortest distance per day : 81 km Longest distance per day : 175 km Weight lost  : 10 kilos ;)   A very special holiday, and a totally different experience than the one to Santiago in 2004. And it remains a strange phenomenon that one manages to return back home exactly on schedule despite the number of kilometres cycled.”
A fantastic effort Jan and for those sort of heroics I think we all ought to stick another cheque in the post for you or online here: http://www.westernfront.nl/lrf2006 - follow the links > sponsors > Justgiving.com.
