BRANDS HATCH GP CIRCUIT
Tuesday 22nd June 2021
What: Club-exclusive sessions on an MSV organised Trackday at the historic Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit
Where: Brands Hatch is located on the A20 near West Kingsdown, just 3 miles from junction 3 of the M25 and linked via the A20 to the M20 and M25/26 motorways. Further details can be found at www.brandshatch.co.uk
As a result of the coronavirus we will continue to implement safety precautions at our trackdays for your protection including the following;
Signing on and registration will be online and via email before the event.
Briefing will be conducted online the day before the event.
Check in and checking drivers’ licences will be carried out safely on the day.
Social distancing guidelines will apply throughout the event.
Helmet hire will probably not be available.
Passengers and additional drivers should be in the same bubble as the driver.
We ask that you do not bring spectators to minimise the number of people at the circuit.
We will amend these precautions as the situation with the virus changes and confirm in the events final instructions that are emailed to participants.
We are excited to be making another visit to the long-term Club favourite at the full Brands Hatch GP circuit. This fabulous circuit brings memories of great champions and racers including Hunt, Lauda, Mansell, Piquet, Rindt, Clark, Brabham, Hill and many more (depending how far back your memory goes…). Now it’s your turn again because we have secured Club participation on an MSV Trackday that will take place at this historic and much loved former Grand Prix circuit on Wednesday 24th June.
Our Club-exclusive sessions will run through the day, operating for twenty minutes every hour and with MSV’s other clients using the remaining time. Allowing for a lunch break we expect to have seven sessions in total, providing more than two hours of track driving in the day.
The format of the day will allow Club members to use the circuit at any time during our allocated sessions, Given the challenge and nature of the GP circuit, the event is not suitable for novice or first-time circuit drivers and, ideally, you should be at intermediate or advanced level to participate. As a result, we will not be operating our ‘Buddy System’ on this occasion, but we will be providing free instruction on a first-come first-served basis throughout the day, as usual. The event is subject to a 101dB noise limit measured statically prior to starting track activities, and a 92dB drive-by noise limit that is measured on track.
The cost for a car and main driver is great value at £340; an additional driver (who must be a Club member) costs £50 and passengers are charged at £10 each.
All drivers must be members of Lotus the Seven Club.
