“INTRODUCTION TO SPRINTING” EVENT

Saturday 18th September 2021

The introduction to sprinting day is run every two seasons to help novice competitors to prepare prior to entry for the 2022 Season of competition.

Throughout the day, experienced sprinters will aim to infect you with their enthusiasm for speed events, teaching safe and effective driving techniques for you to try out on the day. Together with a Motorsport UK scrutineer, they will provide all the information and advice you need to prepare for and participate in future speed events.

The fee of £64 covers all activities and food (tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available to purchase on the day). No commitment to further participation is required. We will have exclusive use of the Curborough sprint course (near Lichfield, Staffordshire, see www.curborough.co.uk) and can promise an entertaining day!

All participating Sevens must have a fitted passenger seat, an FIA-type roll bar or cage and all seats must have safety belts/harness. Cars fitted with the standard Caterham roll bar will not be allowed on track.

Please note that the static noise limit for Curborough is 105dB measured at 0.5m and 45degrees from the exhaust pipe with the engine running at ¾ max revolutions, the same limit as a typical 'noisy' track day.
