Following the article posted on the Club ChitChat by our Competition Secretary we still have a couple of places left for the Marshals Training Day at Castle Combe on Sunday (17th March). This is a very useful and informative day for everyone whatever their level of marshalling experience. It covers the use and understanding of Flag Signals, Paddock Regulations (also useful for Track Days), plus actual handling of emergencies such as an overturned vehicle and vehicle on fire (much better to practice on something that not yours!) The Training is Free of Charge to Club Members and lunch is provided. As we have the Lotus 7 Club Sprint Championship coming to Castle Combe in July we hope to provide support to the event with our own team of marshals. There is no barrier to the level of expertise needed at the event as Novices will be paired with experienced Marshals. The training provided on Sunday is under MSA regs so all participants will be issued wit h a Personal Record Card signed by the registered trainers (this can be used to progress thru further levels if wished and is recognised by all Motor Race/Sprint/Hill Climb organising clubs)
If you are interested please contact me and I will send you the enrolment form.
