On June 20th TOWIE 7's (otherwise known as the Essex region), are planning to get together on the seafront at Southend-on-Sea. The plan is to get as many Sevens as possible on the promenade, show off our cars to the public and generally spend a day at the beach.
Southend seafront has long been a favourite day out for the east end of London, harking back to bank holiday Mondays with marauding Mods and Rockers, the famous Kursaal amusement park and the longest pier in the world with its very own train. If a trip along the pier isn't your thing and driving your Seven isn't enough excitement for you, there's also Adventure Island with its theme park and rides or amusement arcades aplenty.
We have approved parking for a limited number of vehicles directly on the pedestrian promenade with plenty of general parking nearby.
So, if you fancy a day out in Souf'end, a bag of chips and taking back a stick of rock or maybe a 'kiss me quick' hat, blat down to the seafront on the 20th and meet up with the Essex mob.
The meeting 'hub' will be east of the pier adjacent to Marine parade around the fountains, from 10.30. Approaching the area is best from the east along Eastern Esplanade (B1016) with suggested parking behind the Sealife Centre.
So, put the bucket and spade in the boot, grab a knotted handkerchief and get yourself down to the seaside. It'd be great for our Sevens to take over the seafront for the day and if it's a success, maybe we'll make it an annual event in the diary.
