Jeff210R
I've just noticed my steering lock seems to have gone kaput. No previous issues but has just stopped engaging. Thoughts anyone? Jeff

Member Jonathan Kay Posted July 26, 2021 Member Share Posted July 26, 2021 It's removable, and the source for replacements is known.Jonathan
Wrightpayne
With a centre punch and hammer it is possible to undo the shear bolts.
Jeff210R
I took the barrel off (the security bolts had not been sheared off) and it seems that the column does not have a collet welded on for the steering lock to engage with; presumably because it has a Momo removeable wheel! Which is presumably why Caterham did not shear the bolts off on assembly? So it looks as if I was imagining the steering lock; must have been thinking of my previous 7!
